Luca Dal Monte's best-seller FERRARI REX* published by Giorgio Nada Editore inspires an Apple TV series on ENZO FERRARI produced by Oscar winner PAOLO SORRENTINO (The great beauty, The young pope).

 

It is titled "FERRARI" and will be directed by Stefano Sollima (Without remorse, The day of the Soldado, Gomorra The series ) with the screenplay by Steven Knight (creator of Peaky Blinders) and the historical consultancy of Luca Dal Monte.

Six episodes focused on a crucial period in Enzo Ferrari's life. Between 1956 and 1961, deeply wounded by the death of his son Dino and by what he considered a betrayal by his lead driver, Juan Manuel Fangio, Ferrari rebuilt his team by selecting five promising rising stars of motor racing to fight for victory.

Pre-production is already underway in Rome.

The series is produced by Apple Studios for The Apartment Pictures, a Fremantle company, in co-production with Nicola Giuliano for Indigo Film and Fremantle. The executive producers are Lorenzo Mieli, Nicola Giuliano, Steven Knight, Paolo Sorrentino, Giulio Marantonio, Lorenzo De Maio, Stefano Sollima.
