Foreword by Alfredo Stola, grandson of the founder of the historic Stola metalworking company established in 1919, and currently head of StudioTorino, a firm specializing in automotive design.

The Fiat Ritmo, unveiled at the Turin Motor Show in April 1978, brought with it numerous innovations: unprecedented styling features, new mass-produced materials and extensive use of computers and robots in the design and construction of the car. Conceived for a clientele that, following the oil crisis of 1973-74, was looking for saloon cars offering space and low fuel consumption, the Ritmo was produced in a series of versions that still enjoy iconic status today: Cabrio, 105TC and Abarth.
The entire history, styling, technology and sporting achievements of the Ritmo – a car produced in over two million units – is covered in this highly detailed monograph, which, in addition to archive material, also features original drawings by the author.
A chapter dedicated to restoration completes the book.
