Born out of a challenge that a constructor of agricultural machinery – Ferruccio Lamborghini – issued to Enzo Ferrari and his GT cars, Lamborghini proved from the very outset to be more than mere the settling of a dispute between exuberant industrialists.
Not just because the marque has always built everything on its cars in house, without resorting (as many elite manufacturers do) to third party engines for example, but also because it has consistently shown a talent for engineering and stylistic innovation. This was apparent almost immediately with the extraordinary Miura and continues to astonish us to this day.
In this slim encyclopaedia you will find all the Lamborghinis: the production models, the concept cars, the one-offs, in all their variations.
For each car you will be introduced to its history and technical characteristics with a wealth of images helping you recognise, understand and appreciate them.
As with the other titles in the series, each entry is embellished with a drawing by Michele Leonello, the acclaimed car designer and historic illustrator of this series of volumes.
