In 1963, Porsche unveiled its first 911, initially designated the “Type 901”. It immediately won the hearts of sports car enthusiasts around the world and remains THE iconic model that defines the German brand’s identity. Alongside the standard 911s, Porsche has always been committed to creating exclusive limited-edition models, one-off special models and versions designed for competition. These are truly exceptional 911s, such as the 2.2 ST, winner of the 1970 Monte Carlo Rally, or the unforgettable 1972 Carrera RS, often regarded as the greatest Porsche of all time with its inimitable ‘ducktail’ rear spoiler. Some rare models were produced as one-off examples, such as the Carrera S “1 Million”, designed specifically to celebrate the one-millionth 911 produced by the company.
